Picturesquely situated in a bay surrounded by mountains and bounded by the rivers Guadalmedina and Guadalhorce, Malaga city with its two thousand-eight hundred years of history is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Walking by the old town is a experience you should not miss.
The city experienced the greatest civilizations of the Mediterranean, from the Phoenicians and the Greeks to the Romans, thanks to the strategic location of the port, an important site along the trade routes since ancient times.
This introduction is to say that Malaga is not only the capital of the Costa del Sol, a destination known throughout the world since the beginning of the tourist boom in this area, where the climate, the sea, beaches and golf courses represent an irresistible attraction for national and international tourists. If you plan to spend your holidays in Malaga or surroundings, dedicate at least one day to visit the city.
Unamuno School of Málaga
Our Malaga Camp shares facilities with the Unamuno School, one of the most prestigious in the city. It is located in a quiet residential area just a few minutes from the beach.
It is a perfectly equipped place to give classes and to practice sports: its classrooms are modern and have the latest technology. Its sports facilities include a swimming pool, a soccer field, basketball and paddle tennis courts. In short, this is an ideal environment to learn while having fun.
Campers who choose the residential option will stay in double or triple rooms with their own bathroom and air conditioning.
Our Spanish camp program is a deep immersion in an intercultural and international environment, practicing languages outside the classrooms. Spanish and foreign students will participate jointly in all cultural and sports activities. The attendance is of young people from various countries of the world (at least 40% of Spanish students). They will also share rooms divided by sex and age and will get many experiences that will unite them forever. The course takes place in the Unamuno school-residence, where the classrooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and the rest of the rooms are located, so that the students have all their needs covered and the security and assistance of monitors are constant.
Summer Spanish course
The main objective is to have fun. Both the content and materials of the summer language courses and the teaching methodology aim to achieve the perfect balance of fun and rigor so that our young people get the best out of their Spanish course.
The success of all learning depends to a large extent on the teaching team that imparts it and on the motivations of the students. That is why we carefully select our team of language teachers. All of them are bilingual, are qualified to teach English or Spanish, have the CAP (Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude) and many of them are native speakers.
Methodology: Talk, don’t write
Our approach to teaching is designed to build confidence and develop the fluency of each student in order to speak English naturally. A practical method that makes students gain confidence while working on real life projects. Students will work as a team, make proposals and contribute ideas about their project, evaluate solutions, assign tasks to each member, and decide on the means with which they will present the project (video, photos, posters, presentation, etc.), they will select the necessary materials and will manage the time necessary to carry it out. Meanwhile, they will learn and improve their leadership, teamwork, communication, emotional intelligence skills and increase their self-confidence.
The student’s level will be determined through a Spanish or English test on the first day of the course. Students will be divided according to their age and the results of the test. The student will access the level that corresponds to him among the 7 that we offer, basic beginners to advanced.
The summer Spanish course is offered at all summer camps.
They consist of 20 lessons per week divided into 4 daily lessons from Monday to Friday.
Each lesson will last about 45 minutes.
Maximum of 15 students per class.
Spanish and international students are only separated during language classes; they will spend the whole afternoon together.
